コロンビアから多くの技術者が流入するエクアドルは今後ますます切り花の生産地としての重要性が増す。ここで自分が育種した品種に加え人の品種（主に日本の種苗メーカーが保持）を販売する方法だ。現在はアメリカの種苗会社経由で入っている種苗に別ルートを築く。
　まだまだ、思いつきの段階で調査が必要であるが、世界でも有数の切り花の大生産地に「種苗生産基地」と「育種開発基地」を持つ利点を生かさない手はない。生産した種苗はガーデニング用は日本、アメリカ、ヨーロッパ等輸出しか道がないが、切り花用はむしろエクアドル国内に需要があるはずだ。エクアドルで代理店として種苗の取り扱いをする方法は有効なように思える。
　経営を安定化させるためには育種だけでは無理なのが現実だ、現在進めている種苗のエクアドルからの輸出に加え、エクアドルの国内消費用の種苗生産を今後真剣に検討しよう。
